Over on the Copart blog, they recently made a list of their favorite podcasts about cars. If you’re new to podcasts, they’re basically mini radio shows you can access on your iPhone. Podcasts can be produced by anyone, and no matter what hobbies or interests you have, there is a podcast out there for you.
Podcasts are especially great for car lovers because now you can listen to people talking about your favorite thing while you’re doing your favorite thing: driving.
Copart’s list included a lot of fan favorites, and they got a lot of our must-listens on the list, like The Smoking Tire, CarStuff and Skidmarks Show. These all deserve to be on a “best of” list for automotive podcasts, but we have a few extra additions.
This wouldn’t be an article about best automotive podcasts without mentioning Car Talk. Originally broadcast on NPR, you can still catch the world’s funniest mechanic brothers, Tom and Ray Magliozzi, in syndication via podcast.
If you’re a Tesla fan, or just a fan of electric cars in general, check out this podcast. You’re learn everything you ever wanted to know about the models in the Tesla lineup.
Okay, so we’re cheating a bit here with the definition of “car,” but this podcast if fun, fresh and fast, just like a good motorcycle should be. Check out interviews with some of the world’s most famous bikers and feel the freedom of the open road from the safety of your car cage.
This is a video podcast where they go in-depth with the latest news related to cars. You know they have some good stuff related to car safety and recalls with Consumer Reports behind the wheel.
One of our favorite blogs went and made a podcast! They mix humor and real advice about cars in the best way possible.
We’re glad we got to round Copart’s top five into a mega-awesome top ten. With so many new podcast being added, I’m sure we’ll be putting out revised and perfected lists for years to come!
